Dr T Brunner:: Liver Mets Case:: WS 2025

Case Description:
A 64-year-old man with a history of right-sided colon adenocarcinoma treated by subtotal colectomy and adjuvant FOLFOX/Bevacizumab in mid-2021 underwent multiple liver resections and radiofrequency ablations later that year. In early 2025, MRI and PET/CT revealed residual and new metastases in segments IVa, V, and VII (SUVmax up to 36.3), deemed unsuitable for further ablation. He has been referred for stereotactic body radiotherapy, with gross tumor volumes delineated on fused venous-phase CT, PET, and diffusion-weighted MRI and expanded to internal target volumes (ITVs) and planning target volumes (PTVs) according to consensus guidelines for oligometastatic disease.
